I understand that some people find comfort in creating memorials at the site of the death, but it's always seemed a bit ghoulish to me. Why would you want to be reminded of the exact place a loved one passed away every time you drive by? And you're right that it is a distraction to other drivers. It's actually against city regs in my town--only signs etc. authorized by the township can be placed on "public property" along the roadways. Everything else, such as memorials, signs for yard sales etc is removed by the road crews.

I'm 25 and had my life and career mapped out, nursing by the age of 27, own place, maybe a husband and of my lovely daughter in a top school. Ok but my life took a turn, I failed my nursin program by 2 points, and I still got debt smh. So now I plan on taking a semester off to demolish this debt, by January I should he back in school. The problem is, my motivation for everything has either disappeared or died. I know failing that nursing program has me questioning my purpose and even makin me have self doubt. I know I want to look into dentistry but what deprives me, is what it requires to become a dentist. I do have it in me but I think I'm a lil weak mined, meaning I let people opinions get the best of me. I work around nothing by nurses, so of course they will only tell me to go for nursing, which they always do. I don't mind it, but I believe that's not for me, not for the next 40 plus years anyway. I'm thinking long term when it comes to dentistry. I can own my own business, I can make my own hours, I don't have to answer to no one but the client, not the doctor, nurse manager, supervisor, or whomever else. The last thing on my mind is money, because I rather enjoy my job more than anything but both pay is excellent, especially a dentist. I have distraction, my home, my shift at work ( nights full time), men ( I like but then it's always something), and my Childs father. I know moving will allow me to clear my head, I been in this same place for 25 years, I been with a man for three years off n on and not it's officially off, I need change I tell ya and maybe that will lead me to a new path... Pretty simple, if you are just getting a camera to take candid photos with and random things mostly just for fun then the 18-200 is a good idea. One lens for everything. But if you are really into photography the 17-40 f/4 is a much higher guild quality, and will be much sharper with better color. Most serious photographers will switch around a lot before they find their "lens" that works best for them all the time. Mine is a 35 f/1.4. I dont at all miss not having a zoom at all. Of course If I am working then I also have a 70-200 f/2.8 but otherwise its just the 35.

When you go to the Universtiy you will start out by taking general classes and maybe you'll figure out what you want to do as you take those classes and explore different majors that are offered at the Univerity. Volunteering at different jobs is also good to see what you like to do.

my problem is that i have suffered from insomnia for so long, for years i would just lay in bed for hours trying to fall asleep that i find my self doing the same thing that ur doing now. i think that i do it because i'm so feed up with just laying in bed unable to sleep that i decided it's easier to waste time on the computer ect. First off, I really like the title of it! If this were on a book shelf, I would gravitate to it just because the title is eye-catching. Enough about the title though, there's some tweaking that needs to be done. When there is conversation going on, you don't need to reiterate who is speaking after each line. By the first few lines, the reader should be able to catch on to who's speaking and that no new character has been added to the mix. Actually, there's not much else that needs to be fixed. 2 pages a day is a lot, especially for someone who's trying to know Arabic. I know Arabic yet my Quran school only made us learn a page a day, not to mention that you're only 15. We ended up learning the Quran and although it took years, it was easier to remember this way and you'll have a better understanding of the Quran. Masha'allah, it's a great thing that you're trying to do. If you feel that you can do it all in that space of time then go for it. I advise you to take it a little easy though.

Every single one of my cousins that live here in America have gone to the University of Delaware and became some type of succesful. My sister also went to UD. I'm scared out of my mind that I won't be even considered when I apply to UD this coming fall. I am a rising senior and part of this un-necessary stress is my fault, and my ignorance towards education itself. I never had a love for any of my teachers; I hated the way the teaching system worked. I had OK grades. Freshman and Sophomore year, I took all Honors classes and 1 or 2 College Prep. Junior year I took all honors and 2 AP classes. My unweighted GPA is a 3.0 and my weighted is around a 3.4. I ran track Freshman year and played soccer sophomore year. I volunteered at my schools community day, and also volunteer at a Hospice. I visit a 90 year old lady w/ dementia who is dieing soon. Its gonna be my third visit today, shes sweet but doesn't talk much..COOL. I want to play Volleyball my senior year, and I am involved in my schools choir. We got invited to London next year!! I want to join a club senior year, I'm not sure exactly what yet. Maybe yearbook. Or YELL (promotes safe driving) and I also signed up to do morning and afternoon anouncments senior year. (Counts as volunteer hours) What are my chances of getting into UD? And do you have any advice on what I should do to increase my chances of getting in? I WANT/NEED TO GET MY BUT INTO UD! My father will not pay tuition for school out of state, only instate which is UD. And he wants me to stay close. And I love UD's campus. My sister also loves the school. Secular online schools or homeschooling programs?

My daughter is going to be starting 5th grade in the fall and we would like to try homeschooling. I am leaning toward K12.com but have not heard very good things about it. Mostly, that the workload is really intense due to busy work type worksheets. I've also heard that parts of it are inferior to other programs. My daughter is a hard worker and she said she isn't against the idea of working 6 days a week to keep caught up if needed but I fear it wouldn't leave time for her to do social activities. I've asked a few people who use K12.com with their children but I can't get anything out of them other than, "it's okay". Does anyone else have any experience with K12.com? Parents: when you need your kids to be occupied?

I found that if I NEED my 14 month old son to be occupied and distracted, I found that giving him a snack and putting on a 1/2 hour kids' show really helps. I know it's not ideal or recommended, but it gives me enough time to get things done with out him following me around and "undoing" what I just did.

How can playing ukulele help me with my guitar playing and musicianship?

I have been playing guitar for two years, and I have had a ukulele for a year, but I have hardly played it. Since I am in a band that plays a lot of alternative rock, I really want to focus on playing the guitar and memorizing my scales. I hope to encourage my band to also play some acoustic sets. I'm considering if playing the ukulele at the same time will be a benefit to my guitar playing. Taking summer class at campus 55 mins away. Is making the drive a few times a week very annoying? Or is it ok?

The drive taking an hour each way because of distance won't be an annoying drive. If it's an hour because of heavy rush hour traffic then it will be annoying, in my opinion at least. It's a matter of, is it an hour simply because it's a long distance, or because traffic gets bad.

I really liked this video but I think the title might have been in a different language so I can't remember. But the video was of a stage show with sort of pop/rock in the background and it was a depiction of this girl's life starting out following Jesus, losing him and then finding him again. Hi :) I am a 14 year old girl...well I turn 15 in early September. I have a real dilemma....everyday at school it feels like everyone is staring at me because I am overweight! I have never had a boyfriend and I am going into Grade 10 next year! First I am middle class. I make $70k a year and every policy that he puts forward hurts the middle class and poor. 1)Taking away oil companies ability to take depletion & accelerated depreciation of its assets (that is the subsidies they refer too) is going to reduce oil exploration and increase the oil company expenses. This will of course cause an increase in heating oil and gas prices. Of course since gas prices will be higher that will cause increase in trucking and shipping and another increase in airfares. So now my necessities (food, heat and gas) are more expensive and if I am able to scrape together enough money for a vacation (which is unlikley) it will be more expensive too. What your moretoreum on oil drilling did not contribute to the rise in oil enough? To top it off the new EPA regualations which is essentially the Cap and Tax law that failed in Congress not only kills jobs in the clean coal industries but will raise my electricity bill as well. Now who does these increases hurt more the middle class or the Fat Cat in his corporate jet? Second in the last few months the President has played 17 rounds of golf (min 2.5 hrs) and held 33 fundraisers (lets say all time included 3hrs each) and then scolds Washington saying he has been there bc he met with each caucus for 1.5 hrs. So that is 142hrs to 6hrs. I guess the heart of this question is how can any regular working Joe like myself defend this policy. Best answer to anyone that can show me the error in my logic.

Why is Washington, DC letting states enforce federal laws?

I've been reading a lot about how states are coming up with their own immigration laws and such laws that give local law enforcement officials federal power basically. Don't you think the Obama administration should be more careful about what the states are doing...? Just saying because I personally think that the states should leave those kinds of things with the feds and not put that kind of power into the hands of law enforcement officers in their communities because that's going to cause a lot of problems like people claiming racial discrimination or other things like that. Procrastination - Doing everything but study?

Finding it difficult to keep up with study demands. Doing a certificiate course, studying also for a government temp job coming up, apart from the usual housework, cooking, cleaning, etc., running my son to his various entertainments, looking out for Mum, etc. Need a quiet time to really get down and study (both) but it's just not happening. Also the train travel to course is taking over 2 hours a day and playing havoc with my back. The work involved in the course is not difficult but I could do without the distractions. I will also miss 4 weeks of the course with the job in August and will need to catch up at home. Any suggestions?

You could make Demelza like Isla, but she wants the power so badly so she's willing to kill her to get what she wants. That way, you can tell how dangerous she is since she'll do anything to gain power. You could also make the assasination attempt to kill Isla longer, drawn out, and with many parts to the plan. Then you can give Demelza something to focus on during the story. A character's personality is also an indication of whether they are good or evil. So her thought process could clue readers in to her true self. I hope this helps.

i understand where you're coming from man. Its the same thing for me when i go home from college and see my brother doing nothing to help out my parents and he gives me attitude. I took my 41/5 yr old daughter to dentis for cavity filling. I had no idea that they were going to lay her on bed and strapped her up from chest to legs. My God what i have went through looking at her, she was crying like hell!!!! Yes i had consultation with them before her acutall cavity cleaning and cap. They only asked me that what I want to do pull her tooth out or put a cap on I opt for a cap and they didn't mention that if a Child doesn't cooperate they have to go through torture...I read the reviews online for this dentist place and its filled with compliments that they put cartoons for them and use many distraction methods for kids to keep them distracted, but none of it happened. My cousin talks to herself,multiple personalities?

well the story is, my aunt jane was a drug addict and had my cousin lucy, she is 14 now, but her whole life before she was 3 she lived in her crib, never went outside still was fed formula from a bottle because my aunt was always passed out on drugs and would just give lucy a bottle every couple hours, she would just sit in her crib crying and talking to herself, she learned to talk by watching barney over and over, my aunt had it on repeat 24/7. so then my mom and dad came and took lucy when they saw how bad she was, and then my aunt came and lived with us trying to get clean and when lucy was 5 my aunt died from overdose, lucy was very traumatized, but while we had ber we taught her to eat and walk and go to the bathroom, and by the time she was about 7 she could have a conversation other then talking to herself and just parrot what ud say, and we thought we got her alot better and she quit talking to herself,we thought. she is 14 now, still developmentally about 9-10, but every time she goes to the bathroom i hear her talking to herself like she is 2 people. like she'll be like 'what are you doinb tonight? well im probably going to hang out with my cousin. oh what will you guys do?' etc. so i just want to know if maybe it multiple personalities or what? no body else knows she still does it really, like theyll just hear her talking and be like quit talking to yoursself lucy, but theyve never actually listened thru the door like i have, i know creepy.lol but i wanted to know what she was saying. but has anyone ever heard of something like this with emotionally abused children? is it multiple personalities or what?

Would like advice from professional dog trainer on 9 week old puppy!?

Ok so Im not a professional but I am in the same position as you, I recently got a 9 week old chocolate lab. I do know tons about dogs and I am looking to get involved with animals in the future. First off, Just so you know, female dogs do tend to be more independent than males, so it is possible that she is just stubborn. In that case you are going to have to experiment and see what gets her attention, I have just started "clicker" training my puppy, and I think it will work great after we repeat the training every day. I find that if you try to walk faster they will stop getting distracted by leaves and such on the walk. Also keep the leash pulled firmly so that the puppy stays by your side instead of wondering around, but not too tight! Now the last issue... when she tries to bite you, this may sound bad but I know of a lot of people who do this, and I have done it to my puppy, you need to make sure she knows that you are the boss by biting her on the ear. I know its sounds bad but it really does work. My puppy had the same problem where she was biting my hands and my legs and after I did that she knows when shes too rough. I bit her on the ear just hard enough to where she squeaked a little but then I stopped. In a way you need to "give her a taste of her own medicine" ha ha, and make sure she understands why you are doing that, tell her "No Bite!" and use that as your word to make her stop, be consistant! I hope it works out for you.
